Manual Handling Safety Training

This health and safety course in manual handling will provide your employees with guidance on the correct lifting procedure and some handy hints on the do’s and don’ts of manual handling.

More than one third of all injuries reported each year to the HSE involve manual handling. Manual handling courses cover, pulling, pushing, lifting, lowering and carrying any object without the use of external aids. The most serious injuries are often caused in the simplest way but many can be prevented by following the correct manual handling techniques.

Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, you have a responsibility to ensure your staff are as safe as possible. This may involve looking at alternative work methods. At the very least it will involve training in correct lifting and handling methods.
