If a trainee fails their IOSH working safely course they may resit the course for a reduced fee of £85 + VAT. A trainee is only permitted to attempt the training a maximum of 2 times.

IOSH Working Safely E-Learning Course Course Overview

The IOSH Working Safely Assessment consists of 30 questions that are a mix of multiple choice and hazard spotting. A trainee will pass the assessment with a score of 60% or above. Once a trainee has successfully completed the assessment they can instantly print a confirmation of this directly from their PC while their hard copy. The course is split over 5 modules covering the areas listed below:

  • An introduction to the course
  • The principles of why working safely is important
  • Understanding what constitutes a ‘hazard’ and recognising the different types
  • Understanding the principles of risk and risk assessment
  • Recognising safety signs
  • Recognising 18 of the most common workplace hazards
  • How they arise
  • How to remove or reduce the risk
  • Understanding safe systems of work
  • A look at how, when and why to use PPE
