First Aid Training for Managers

The Health and Safety (first aid) Regulation 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to enable first aid to be given to employees if they are injured or become ill at work.

This is not a first aid course where you are taught first aid practices. The online first aid course has been designed to teach trainees about the Health & Safety Executive Guidelines, how to choose the correct people to provide first aid and to provide an explanation of the first aid requirements.
This is an important course for all managers who are responsible for organising first aid at work.

Upon completion of the course, you should be able to demonstrate the following:

• Discuss the HSE Guidelines on First Aid and the legal requirements
• Describe the factors to be considered while choosing the right people to provide First Aid
• Explain the First Aid requirements
• Understand the importance of First Aid equipment, training and reporting
